Master Yoga seeks a skilled and experienced Executive Director to work in conjunction with the committed and passionate board of directors to guide the organization as it continues to grow, while maintaining the quality and professionalism already established.

The Executive Director, a business minded professional, understands and can interweave yogic principals into the day to day running of the organization while implementing the vision, mission and goals, and ensuring continued growth in a professional and financially responsible manner. The Board seeks an Executive Director with general management skills as well as expertise in marketing, fundraising and/or public relations to support organizational growth. Work Environment

The ED works from home, utilizing email and teleconferences to maintain communication with our two facilities, staff and community who are spread across the country. The work schedule is flexible, while the ED responds in a timely manner to emails and phone calls. An annual meeting with our Board in Malvern PA is required, as well as other possible trips to our San Diego administration office or our Malvern PA campus.

Qualifications

  • Attainment of an advanced degree (BA or MBA) in management or a related field, or equivalent experience in the not-for-profit arena
  • Minimum of 5 years of increasingly responsible administrative experience including fiscal responsibilities, human relations and strategic planning
  • Minimum of 3 years
  • experience in strategic fundraising, marketing and/or public relations

Requirements

  • Attend monthly Board, Executive Board and Committee teleconference meetings
  • Attend bi-annual Svaroopa® Yoga Conference (October 21-24, 2011)
  • Attend in-person yearly Board Retreat at Master Yoga’s expense
  • Cultivate personal understanding of our purpose and product by:
    1) Taking weekly Svaroopa® yoga classes, provided by Master Yoga
    2) Taking Foundations of Svaroopa® Yoga within the first 3 months
    3) Create and submit a yearly yoga immersion plan
