MASTER YOGA FOUNDATION is located in a classical building in Southeastern PA, only 29 miles from the Philadelphia airport. We have an expansive space — the entire second story. Our large yoga room is full of natural light with windows on both sides, ample space for students and soft but firm carpet. Our large kitchen and dining area provides an array of cooking appliances, plenty of counter space and windows that overlook the dining tables. We have four offices for our Teacher Trainers that also serve as private rooms for Yoga Therapy and Vichara sessions. There is space in the classroom for your personal belongings plus three bathrooms to accommodate large programs. Our campus yoga shop has an extensive selection of items to support your yoga practice, including Amaya^® Yoga CDs, DVDs and wonderful treasures from India.

Exton lies at the intersection of Lincoln Highway (Route 30) and Pottstown Pike (Route 100). Local myth tells that Exton was named as the “X” on the map, denoting this intersection, which was, since the late 18th century, a major transportation route between east and west. Still, it is more likely the village was named after one of the Exton families, a well-known United Kingdom lineage. Exton is now the major shopping district in Chester County, home of the Exton Square Mall and several other shopping centers.

Transportation choices from Philadelphia International Airport include train, airport shuttle and taxis. The Regional Rail system (R-5 line) stops just one mile from Master Yoga and busses run regularly to our campus from the train station. There is a range of hotels in the area as well as a few local yogis (within 15 – 30 minute drive) who offer rooms in their homes at a low rate. We’ll provide you with a list of accommodations and others who are enrolled in the same course so you can coordinate housing and transportation. Choose from a variety nearby restaurants, several just a quick walk away, or use our kitchen to prepare meals. There are markets nearby and health food shops just a drive away. The kitchen in our Exton campus is a yogi kitchen, which means it is pure vegetarian. Please do not store, prepare, eat or dispose of meat, poultry, fish or eggs in our facility. When you register for a course, we send you a list of restaurants and markets.

In addition to your training or retreat, you can schedule private Yoga Therapy or Vichara sessions with our trainers. You may even want to extend your trip and take classes with some of the many skilled and experienced Svaroopa^® yoga teachers in nearby Paoli, Swarthmore and West Reading.

Svaroopa^® yoga has been growing in Australia for almost 10 years! Master Yoga now offers programs twice a year, including weekend workshops, retreats with Swami Nirmalananda (Rama) and Teacher Training. Margaret Howard-Smith was the trailblazer who brought Svaroopa^® yoga to Australia, teaching in Brisbane for 7 years before moving to Emu Park (both in Queensland). Janet Murray now spearheads the programming, working with the Brisbane teachers, while Janet continues advanced training, including becoming a Svaroopa^® Yoga Teacher Trainer herself.

Emu Park is located on the Capricorn Coast, 19 kilometers south of the township of Yeppoon, overlooking the Keppel islands and the world famous Great Barrier Reef. The famous Singing Ship Monument is on the top of a green grassy hill, resonating with the sound of organ pipes being toned by the gentle winds. This small, peaceful town is a popular tourist spot. It has won several tourism awards, and features fishing, surfing, boating, and unspoiled beaches. It is a walking town, with motels and restaurants nearby. Yoga Haven is a beautiful and serene location, with a full kitchen, bathrooms, Yoga Therapy rooms, and a lovely outdoor eating area for our use.

Our Brisbane courses are hosted by one of several well-established Svaroopa^® yoga teachers, in their own studios or a facility secured especially for the event. With ideal weather most of the year, and the famous Aussie welcome, this is truly a Svaroopa^® yoga home.
